Introduction

Expert Advice

• Take this medication 1 tablet, thrice daily.
• Do not consume alcohol while taking this therapy.
• This medicine should be used with caution in elderly patients since the risk of adverse effects is significantly high.
• Read the label carefully before consuming this medicine to avoid over dosage. Overdose may result in liver damage. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose of this medicine is suspected.
• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one
• Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects.
• Ensure that the course of treatment is completed.
• Do not stop the use of any medicine without consulting your doctor.

Primary Uses

Indications

This medication is indicated in smooth muscle spasm.

Side Effects

Constipation, Increased or decreased heart rate, irregular heartbeat, dry mouth, flushing and dryness of skin, nausea, vomiting, reduced lung secretions, frequent urge to urinate, dilation of the pupils, photophobia (light sensitivity).  Consult your doctor for further assistance.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in Myasthenia gravis neuromuscular disease, pregnancy, lactation, pyloric stenosis (narrowing of the muscular valve between stomach and small intestine), paralytic ileus (paralysis of intestinal muscles) Toxic megacolon (inflammatory bowel disease), prostatic englargement ( enlargement of prostrate glands), coma, stupor (unconsciousness) and iodine sensitivity.

This medication is generally contraindicated in people with myasthenia gravis (autoimmune muscle disorder), paralytic ileus(intestinal blockage) , pyloric stenosis(narrowing of the opening of the stomach) , toxic megacolon(widening of the large intestine in the GI tract)  and prostatic enlargement. It should also not be patients in Coma ,stupor(near unconsciousness ) , or with  iodine sensitivity. Consult your doctor for further details.
