Contradications
This medication is generally contraindicated in people with myasthenia gravis (autoimmune muscle disorder), paralytic ileus(intestinal blockage) , pyloric stenosis(narrowing of the opening of the stomach) , toxic megacolon(widening of the large intestine in the GI tract) and prostatic enlargement. It should also not be patients in Coma ,stupor(near unconsciousness ) , or with iodine sensitivity. Consult your doctor for further details.
Side effects
Constipation , transient bradycardia followed by tachycardia , palpitation and arrhythmias( temporary decreased heart rate followed by increased heart rate and problems with the rhythm of heartbeat) , dilation of the pupils , dry mouth , flushing and dryness of the skin, confusion in the lederly , photophobia(intolerance of light) , urinary urgency(sudden urge to urinate).

This medication should be used with caution in people with Down’s syndrome , in children and the elderly as well as in patients with diarrhea and other GI related diseases.
