fluvoxamine-maleate
This medicine is used to treat the symptoms of depressive illness such as persistent feeling of sadness, loss of interest, and disruption in daily tasks.
Contradications
The patients with history of epilepsy (disorder characterized by seizures) should avoid use of this medicine.
Please do not use this medicine within two weeks of stopping monoamine oxidase inhibitors or 1 day after stopping moclobemide.
Side effects
The patients administered with this medicine may experience nausea and vomiting, somnolence, anorexia, gastrointestinal disturbances, tachycardia (high heart rate), palpitations, insomnia, hyponatremia (low sodium levels), and neuroleptic malignant syndrome (life-threatening reaction to antipsychotic medicines).
