What does this medicine treat?
It is used in the treatment of eye inflammations.
Does it affect one’s vision?
Loss of clear vision and watery eyes usually follows the application-a temporary symptom that goes off within next 30 minutes.
What happens if the drops are used for longer time than prescribed?
You are strictly advised to use the drops as per your physician’s instructions, extended use results in secondary infections.
What happens if drops are used for lesser time than prescribed?
This makes the bacteria resistant against the medicine and difficult to remove from body.
Is it safe to apply the drops while wearing the contact lenses?
You are advised to remove the lenses during the application and wear them after an interval of at least 15 minutes.
To what extent of eye does loteprednol’s effect shows?
This medicine is used to combat bacterial infection and inflammation limited to only superficial layers of eye.
What are the uses of Tobramycin?
This medication is used for treatment of eye infections such as conjunctivitis. Please note it will only work for bacterial infections, not viral or fungal infections.
How to take Tobramycin?
Use it as prescribed by your health care provider. The dosage of this medicine is dependent on the age, condition, and its severity.
How to store Tobramycin?
Please store this medicine at room temperature (20-25 Celsius) or refrigerate (below 10 C) depending on the medicine type and manufacturer. Keep medicine away from excessive light, moisture, and children. Please do not flush medicines down the toilet. Please read the leaflet provided with the medicine for further storage guidance.
Will this medicine affect my vision?
You may be required to close your eyes for 10-15 after using this medicine so tasks like driving should be avoided immediately after use. Rarely does this medicine cause vision changes.
Does Tobramycin have any effect on pregnancy and lactation?
This medicine should only be used during pregnancy if no safer alternate is available. The effects of this medicine on lactating females are unknown. Consult your health care provider before use of this medicine.
What are the side effects of using this medicine?
You may experience the following: • Eye redness • Eye/eyelid itching • Temporary blurring of visions for 5-10 minutes
What are the precautions for using this medicine?
• Remove contact lens before using this medicine • Inform doctor if condition doesn’t improve within 4-5 days • Avoid contact of applicator with eye
