This medication is used for prevention of chest pain (angina). It can also be used for lowering blood pressure in hypertensive (increased blood pressure) patients. Lowering of blood pressure lessens the probability of heart attacks and kidney dysfunctions.

Contradications
Patients with heart diseases, Liver impairment, history of GI obstruction, Crohn’s disease, dialysis, malignant hypertension, Patients with skin disorders/diseases
Side effects
Headache, flushes, dizziness, tachycardia (increased heartbeat), hypotension (low blood pressure), GI upset, vasodilatation (widening of blood vessels), lethargy, skin reactions, myalgia (muscle pain), tremor, visual disturbances, increased urinary frequency, impotence, mood changes, Myocardial infarction and ishaemic pain.
