Contradications
This medicine is contraindicated in primary infections such as impetigo (contagious skin infection with sores and honey-colored crusts, paronychia (infection of skin around nail), cellulitis (bacterial infection causing red, swollen skin), angular cheilitis (inflammation of mouth corners), erythrasma (skin infection, brown-scaly patches), peri-oral dermatitis or acne, untreated fungal and viral infections, burns, genital pruritus (itch skin), and pruritus without inflammation.
Side effects
Patients using this medicine may experience burning, itching, irritation, stinging, dryness, folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles), pruritus (itching), hypo-pigmentation, allergic dermatitis, numbness of fingers, maceration of skin, striae (permanent stretch marks), skin atrophy, telangiectasia (spider veins: small dilated blood vessels), and local skin reactions.
