iron-protein-succinylate
This medicine is indicated for treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia (a condition in which there is a lack of healthy red blood cells which are unable to carry sufficient oxygen).
Contradications
It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to folic acid, vitamin-B, drugs containing folic acid. It should not be taken by individuals who have a disorder of iron metabolism, overload of iron in the blood, ulcer due to excessive stomach acid, excess iron, gastritis (inflammation of stomach cells) etc.
Side effects
Some of its side effects include constipation (difficulty in passing stool), diarrhea (watery stools), stomach cramps or stomach upset. If you have serious allergic reactions from it such as rash, itching, swelling, difficulty in breathing and dizziness, consult your doctor.
