This medication is used for treatment of asymptomatic (not showing symptoms) amoeba infections. It can also be used with other medicines such as nitroimidazoles for treatment of invasive or extra-intestinal forms of amebiases.
diloxanide-furoate
Diloxanide Furoate is indicated in amoebiasias (amoebic infections), giardiasis (infection of small intestine), and other systemic diseases due to other E. histolytica organisms.
Contradications
Do not use this medicine if you’re allergic to any of its constituents.
Side effects
Patients using Diloxanide Furoate may at times experience GI (gastro-intestinal) distress. If you experience this for a long period of time, consult your doctor immediately.
