This medicine is used in the treatment of tinnitus (constant ringing sound in the ear), vertigo (a condition where you feel your environment is spinning) and hearing loss due to Meniere's syndrome (a disorder of the inner ear).

Contradications

This medicine should not be taken by patients who have pheochromocytoma (a tumour of the adrenal gland).

Side effects

Some patients taking this medicine may experience gastric upset, headache or rash.
