Primary Uses

Indications

This medicine is used as local anesthesia, to prevent and relieve pain during certain medical procedures and it is also used to numb the lining of the mouth, throat, or nose before certain medical procedures.

Side Effects

Patients using this medication may at times experience dizziness. confusion. convulsions. and depressed respiratory rate. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period please consult your doctor. 

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in complete heart block and hypovolemia (decrease in volume of blood in the body).
