Cefixime is a medicine used to treat bacterial infections of different parts of the body. It belongs to the class of medicines called cephalosporins. It works by killing bacteria or inhibiting their growth. It is mostly available in capsule, tablet, and powder suspension forms. It is only indicted for Bacterial infections and does not work for viral infections, such as flu and cold.

What should I do if my child misses a dose?
Give your child the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, give the next dose at the regular time, and only 1 dose at a time.
When to take this medicine?
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. In children, this medication may also be taken twice a day.
