It is an IV which is indicated to use in individuals with complicated intra-abdominal infections, and the infections of the skin and soft tissues.
The common side effects of this medicine are GI disturbances, anorexia (loss of appetite), headache, itching, rash, abscess, infections, increased LFTs, impaired healing, hypoglycemia (extremely low blood sugar levels) and dizziness.
This medicine is contraindicated to use in pregnancy.
Please don't use this medicine if you are breastfeeding.
Be cautious while using this medicine in patients with severe liver impairment and cholestasis (reduction or stoppage of bile flow). Monitor for signs of acute pancreatitis (enlargement of the pancreas) and withdraw it immediately if suspected. Be extra cautious in patients with severe underlying disease or concurrent bacteremia (presence of bacteria in the blood).
This product is contraindicated to use in diabetic patients with foot infections.
