This medicine is used with or without other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
Please use as recommended by your doctor.
Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Before taking bisoprolol, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies, certain types of heart rhythm problems (such as a slow heartbeat, second- or
third-degree atrioventricular block), severe heart failure.
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist about your medical history, especially of breathing problems.
This drug is contraindicated in pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland), diabetes, depression (mental/mood disorders), myasthenia gravis (a muscular disorder where there is a serious muscle weakness), complete heart block, second-degree atrioventricular heart block (impairment of conduction of impulse from atria to ventricles), sinus bradycardia (slow heartbeat), and acute decompensated heart failure (sudden and serious symptoms of heart failure).
This medicine may cause the following:
Tiredness
slow heartbeat
diarrhea (watery stools)
dizziness
No definite data regarding use in pregnant females.
No definite data regarding use in nursing females.
