Fosfomycin Injection IM 1gm injection is composed of
Fosfomycin (1gm)
Fosfomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is used for treating urinary tract infections that aren't too aggressive. It acts by disrupting the synthesis of the cell wall of bacteria, which stops the bacteria from growing. This antibiotic is solely used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It is ineffective against viral infections (such as flu and common cold).
Take 1 teaspoon of Fosfomycin suspension 2-3 times per day, or as directed by your doctor.
Swallow the Fosfomycin capsule with water.
Swallow the capsule as whole, do not crush, chew or break the capsule.
Do not stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Pregnancy
Fosfomycin should only be used when absolutely necessary during pregnancy. Pregnant females should consult their doctors about the risks and advantages of Fosfomycin .
Lactation

Driving

When may I eat after taking Fosfomycin?
Fosfomycin is an oral antibiotic that should be given on an empty stomach at least 2 hours before or after meals, ideally at bedtime after evacuating the bladder.
