Bacterial Infections and Hospital Acquired Pneumonia

Indications

This medicine is indicated in serious infections due to amikacin sensitve gram negative organism.

Side Effects

Patients using this medication may at times experience ototoxicity (damages ear either temporarily or permanently), and nephrotoxicity (damages kidney either temporarily or permanently). If you experience any of these, consult your doctor immediately.

Warnings

Pregnancy

This medicine should not be used in pregnancy.

Lactation

This medicine should not be used by breastfeeding mothers.

Precautions

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with impaired renal (kidney) function, so ensure that the patient is adequately hydrated.

Contraindications
