Indications:
This medication is to treat prophylaxis of organ rejection in adult patients at low to moderate immunological risk receiving an allogenic renal (kidney) or cardiac (heart) transplant in combination with cyclosporin for microemulsion snd corticosteriods.
Pregnancy:
This medication is contraindicated in pregnancy.
Lactation:
This medication is contraindicated in lactating females.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to this medication to any of the ingredients in preparation. Patients with rare hereditary problems. Seevre hepatic (liver) impairment. Ensure adequate contraception for women of child bearing age.
Precautions:
Patients should be closely monitored with over suppression of the immune system. Use effective contraception. Moderate hepatic (liver) impairment. Ensure any infection is resolved before starting this treatment. Increased risk of developing lymphomas and other malignancies. History of bleeding disorders. Monitor renal (kidney) function, fasting serum glucose, Monitor drug plasma levels and Ketogenic diet.
Adverse effects:
The patient administered with this medication will experience leucopenia (decreased white blood cells), headache, dry mouth, dehydration, nausea, diarrhoea, chest pain, acne, anaemia, respiratory disorder, epitaxis, insomnia (inabiltiy to sleep), hypertension (increased blood pressure), skin and nail disorders, weight loss, diabetes, Renal (kidney) failure,Gi upset, anxiety, hand foot syndrome and joint pain.

This medication is used in combination with other medicines for decreasing and preventing the probability of kidney rejection after a kidney transplant. It can also be with other medicines used in preventing liver rejection in liver transplants.

Precautions:
Following are the precautions for use of this medicine: • Avoid exposure to the sun as it may increase light sensitivity. Use sun screen and wear fully covered clothes • It increases probability of infections therefore limit contact with people with infections e.g., flu, common cold • Do not get vaccines without consulting your doctor • Use sharp objects like razor, knife with caution to minimize any cuts, bleeding probability and infection
Effect on pregnancy and lactation:
This medicine must not be used during pregnancy it may have fatal effects on the unborn infant. Even touching or any type of contact with this medicine is contraindicated. This medicine passes into breast-milk and may have undesirable effects on the nursing infant. Consult your health care provider before use of this medicine.

Administration:
