Description

Atcomid is used to control partial-onset seizures. Lacosamide is also used in combination with other medicines to control primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and children 4 years of age and older. Atcomid is in a class of medicines called anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

Directions for use

• Atcomid comes as a tablet and as a solution (liquid) to take by mouth.
• Atcomid is usually taken twice a day with or without food.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, which can irritate the mouth or throat.
• If you are taking the oral solution, use a dose-measuring spoon or oral syringe to measure the correct amount of liquid needed for each dose.

Storage

Store at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
