Beclomethasone is used to prevent difficulty breathing, chest tightness, wheezing, and coughing caused by asthma in adults and children 5 years of age and older. Beclomethasone belongs to a class of medicines called corticosteroids. Beclomethasone works by decreasing swelling and irritation in the airways to allow for easier breathing.
Beclomethasone comes as an aerosol to inhale by mouth using an inhaler.
Beclomethasone usually is inhaled twice a day.
Remove the protective cap.
Breathe out as completely as possible through your mouth.
Hold the inhaler in the upright (mouthpiece up) or horizontal position.
Place the mouthpiece between your lips well into your mouth.
Tilt the head slightly back.
Close the lips tightly around the mouthpiece keeping your tongue below it.
Inhale slowly and deeply.
Breathe in slowly and deeply through the mouthpiece.
At the same time, press down once on the container to spray the medication into the mouth.
When breathed in fully, remove the inhaler from the mouth and close the mouth.
Try to hold your breath for about 5 to 10 seconds, and then breathe out gently.
If the doctor has told you to take more than 1 puff per treatment, repeat steps 3 through 7.
Replace the protective cap on the inhaler.
After each treatment, rinse the mouth with water and spit. Do not swallow the water.
Do not use more or less of beclomethasone or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Take beclomethasone regularly to get the most benefit from it.
To help remember, take beclomethasone at the same time.
Quantity is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Do not increase your quantity or take this product more often than directed.

This medication is contraindicated in patients with tuberculosis (disease causing inflammation of the lungs), epistaxis (nose bleeding) and measles, glaucoma (pressure in the eye), nose injury, or nose surgery.

What are the uses of Formoterol?
This medication is used for treatment of asthma and Chronic Obstructive
Pulmonary Diseases (COPD) such as Emphysema (breathing disorder affecting the
air sacs in lungs) and bronchitis (inflammation of the respiratory passages).
Please note that this medicine will not work right away and must be used
continuously for a certain amount of time to be effective. For quick relief from
shortness of breath or asthma attack, use an inhaler.
How to store Formoterol?
Please store this medicine at room temperature (20-25 Celsius). Keep medicine
away from excessive light, moisture, and children. Please do not flush medicines
down the toilet.
If you are using this medicine in inhaler form, make sure to clean the inhaler at
least once a week. Throw the inhaler after it is locked (all medicine has been used
up) or three months after putting the cartridge in the inhaler. Please read the leaflet provided with the medicine for further storage guidance.
Is flu shot necessary for me if I have a breathing problem?
If you have asthma or any other COPD, it may be necessary for you to get a flu
shot/ flu vaccine every year as flu can worsen breathing problems. It is dependent
on the severity of your condition. For further guidance, consult your healthcare provider.
What if I feel my COPD is getting worse?
Tell your healthcare provider immediately. He/ she will guide you further and tell
you what symptoms to look for and the treatment accordingly.
What else can I do to improve my lung condition and overall quality of life?
Several COPD patients find relief by doing regular breathing exercises and light
physical exercises. Moreover, stop smoking, limit use of lung irritants, and practice good hygiene.
Does Formoterol have any effect on pregnancy and lactation?
This medicine should only be used during pregnancy if no safer alternative is
available.
The effects of this medicine on lactating mothers are unknown. Consult your
health care provider before use of this medicine.
Important notes for use of Budesonide.
-It is advised to learn to use the peak flow meter if you use this medicine.
